A full-height privacy build in Penngrove: 8 ft picture-frame board-on-board redwood, with the gates built to the exact same panel detail so the frontage reads as one continuous fence instead of a fence with a hole cut in it. The yard falls away steadily, so each section is stepped down the grade and scribed to keep the picket spacing even the whole length of the run. Square-grid lattice toppers sit on top of the framed panels to add height without shutting the light down, and the dark stained posts and kicker boards carry the visual weight at the bottom while the warm redwood pickets stay bright above them. Every gate is framed, braced, and hung on heavy black hardware to match the panels beside it.
